Text-Only Input for Super Whisper Modes

Feature Request: Text-Only Input for Super Whisper ModesSummaryAdd the ability to process selected text through Super Whisper modes and custom prompts without requiring any voice input.ProblemSuper Whisper is currently voice-first. While selected text can be included as context when starting a recording, there is no way to take existing text and run it directly through a Super Whisper mode or prompt without speaking.Proposed FeatureEnable a text-only workflow that allows users to:- Select text in any app- Trigger Super Whisper via a keyboard shortcut- Choose a mode or custom prompt- Have the selected text processed exactly as if it were spoken input- Receive AI-processed text output such as rewrites, summaries, transformations, or refinementsWhy This MattersThis would unlock fast, silent, and precise workflows for editing and transforming existing text without dictation. Common use cases include rewriting drafts, summarising long passages, adjusting tone, and refining copy. It would significantly expand Super Whisper’s usefulness while reusing the same modes and prompt system that already exists.Implementation NoteFrom the outside, this appears to be a natural extension of the current architecture. Super Whisper already accepts contextual text, routes input through modes and prompts, and outputs processed text. This feature would simply allow selected text to act as the primary input source instead of voice.Optional UX Ideas- A “Process Selected Text with Super Whisper” action- A shortcut-triggered mode or prompt picker for text input- An option to remember the last-used mode for text workflowsClosingThis would be a high-impact addition that meaningfully improves speed, flexibility, and day-to-day usability.
