Start recording Sound
It would be useful to have a sound that confirms the recording has actually started, or even some visual feedback, because when using, for example, AirPods, for a few moments the recording still doesn’t start. It would be helpful to know when it begins without having to try speaking just to see the waveform.

I’m seeing the same behavior on macOS. I’d especially prefer a clear visual “recording ready” state rather than having to make a test sound and watch for the waveform to react. Ideally, the UI would distinguish between: UI visible → microphone initializing → recording ready For example, a dim/gray state while initializing, then a clear indicator once audio capture is actually active. Even if startup latency can’t be completely eliminated, knowing exactly when it’s safe to speak would make the experience much more predictable.
