Editing in Superwhisper

Superwhisper is fantastic. I have both vocal and hand problems and the speech recognition programs like Dragon and Microsoft Word have never worked well for me. I’ve been hoping for something like this for decades. This opens so many possibilities for me. Because of the glottal stops needed for the first realizations of the first speech recognition software (Power Secretary), a stop/start with every word that was uttered, I got vocal tendonitis that I’ve never recovered from. I have to be careful about the amount of non-continuous speech and typing (I have RSI). Someone I think who’s developing AI could do this quickly, but it wonderful if Superwhisper would step up and I wouldn’t have to leave this app. I'm a reviser—a serious one. Unfortunately, to get at the text in Super Mode, it looks like I have to highlight the text. That's very hand-intensive. That would be hard for many people with disabilities. This is what I sent to some of the staff who help with disabilities at my work and also to Superwhisper, but I’m sure the community could also help. You have to imagine the attachment that I’m describing, but we’re so close to something like this. I’ve gone down a rabbit hole trying to try to find out what’s possible (a lot of clicking, not good for my hands). No luck yet. I’m excited about this. +++ Dear [] Again, I am really thrilled about Superwhisper. I'd be glad to post something on the suggestion site, but I don't yet have an idea of what's possible. The next stage for me will be revision. It would be nice if Superwhisper could hold everybody in the site rather than having to go elsewhere. Someone suggested Gemini. I revise a lot. Here's the simplest thing I can imagine that's possible. How I’ve worked for the last several decades to add revisions is this: I put my documents in Word and I line number them. I use an automatic mouse click. My assistants are working remotely with me. I call out a line number and use my mouse which clicks so that they land in the right place (with Chrome Remote my typists are cued to my mouse). AI should be able to be set up to see this too. I could simply say what needs to be changed. The AI is so smart, I bet it could figure it out. My assistants can figure this out. If AI can’t figure that out, then just clicking before a word and saying “delone” or “deltwo” or “delthree” to delete the next one to three words or “delword through delword” and substitute the words I want removed would do it. This has some similarity to what Dragon does, but it’s much quicker. Please see the attached (document though you readers can’t see it). It has text and line numbers. I could hover over the word Roseanne and spell it out how she prefers it (line 1). I could hover over line 3 and park my mouse on the word and say wine and cheese. In the document, what Superwhisper typed for me, because I was dictating was cheese and wine….Superwhisper would also need besides responding to a mouse click and context, to include and delete, copy and move too, but I'd bet it could figure it out if I just said the replacement. Dragon and Microsoft Word need so many commands to facilitate a replacement, it's more than what my voice can handle. I know cell phones have a special screen and if you tap on a text a replacement will be suggested. That's also easy. A larger cell phone like screen interface paired with Superwhisper perhaps with my laptop would help too. I tried this text in Custom Mode with an AI prompt to create line numbers and it didn’t work. This is the prompt: You are a text formatting assistant. Your task is to take my spoken text and format it by creating a document with a new line number at the beginning of each new line. For the large population that has disabilities, can we find a way that the AI can really help (Parkinsons, multiple sclerosis, et al), can you do something else? It would be so freeing. If Superwhisper can’t do this, can you point me to other apps and how to integrate? Speech recognition with Dragon and Microsoft Word take too many commands.
